CHRISTMAS - December 23th - 26th 2012
Sunday 23rd December
Arrive at Rothay Manor for Sparkling Afternoon tea by the fire and relax after your journey.
After tea we invite you to join us in welcoming in the Festive season by singing Carols around the piano.
In the evening take time to chat with fellow guests, enjoy a wonderful dinner and then be entertained by David Lancaster, a well known local magician, with his intriguing ‘Illusions of the Mind’ act.
Monday 24th December Christmas Eve
Start the day with a Cumbrian breakfast, then venture into Ambleside to sort out those last minute presents or use your complimentary voucher to explore the Lakes independently. Choose from a Lake cruise, Lakeland Motor Museum or Blackwell Arts and Craft House - there is plenty to see.
Around 5pm the Christingle service takes place in Ambleside Parish Church–always a lovely way to start Christmas and feel part of the local community.
Dinner is served from 7.30pm followed by evening entertainment .
Tuesday 25th December Christmas Day
Start the day with a Cumbrian breakfast. There is time to unwrap presents and have a glass of champagne to toast the season before we serve a traditional 5 course Christmas Lunch.
After lunch join in with the infamous Rothay Manor games- usually a chance to have some fun while we test your knowledge and ingenuity!
A sumptuous cold buffet is served in the evening.
Wednesday 26th December Boxing Day
If you feel like you need get some exercise join us on a short, approximately two hours, Boxing Day walk led by Nigel Nixon. Lunch can be taken at a local pub and transport will be arranged back to the hotel. Before Afternoon tea gather in the Brathay Room to listen to a local guest speaker who will entertain you with his insight into Cumbrian life. Dinner is served from 7.30 pm followed by the Rothay Manor quiz, a gentle way to exercise those brain cells.
Thursday 27th December
Enjoy a traditional breakfast and then it is time to leave us until next year.
Prices are per person for the 4 night stay and include full Cumbrian breakfast, Christmas Day Lunch, Afternoon tea, Dinner, Entertainment and VAT @ 20%

Lunch on the 24th and 26th is not included in the price but the Restaurant is open if you wish to dine.
Children are welcome but we do not offer any specific entertainment. Each child under 16 sharing a room with two adults is charged £30 per night Bed and Breakfast, plus meals taken. (£50 per child when sharing a suite)
A deposit of £100 per person is required to secure the booking with an additional £450 per person to be paid on 1st October 2012. It is advisable to take out cancellation insurance. Details will be sent with your confirmation.
