Join us on New Year’s Eve for a warm welcome from our friendly staff, in time to enjoy a leisurely Afternoon Tea in the lounges.

In the evening, the celebrations get under way with a Champagne Reception, followed by a 6-course Gala New Year Dinner.

After Dinner, get into the mood by enjoying some light-hearted party games devised to entertain and raise the party spirit, before welcoming in the New Year with Champagne and fireworks.

(N.B.New Year’s Eve Dinner is black tie).

On New Year’s Day, relax after the celebrations with a lie-in and late breakfast. Why not enjoy a gentle stroll down to the lake or into Ambleside itself and be one of the first at the local New Year sales; or take a scenic drive amidst the beauty of the Lakeland fells; or quite simply just relax and unwind in the comfort of the lounges.

After Dinner, the Casino hits town with the Rothay Manor Casino Night. Try your luck at the tables and see if Lady Luck is on your side in 2011.

On the afternoon of the last day of the holiday, a visit to Dove Cottage, home of William Wordsworth from 1799 - 1808 has been arranged for you, including a visit to Grasmere Church where Wordsworth is buried.

The House Party draws to a close with a ‘Farewell Dinner’ followed by more games, competitions and prizes!

Prices are per person for the 3 night stay and includes full Cumbrian breakfast, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, Champagne Party, entertainment and VAT @ 17.5%.

An initial deposit of £200 per person is required to secure the booking, with an additional £350 to be paid by the 1st October. Cancellation insurance is available.

We do not offer any specific entertainment for children over the New Year period, although they are most welcome. Each child under 16 sharing a room with 2 adults is charged £25 per night Bed and Breakfast, plus meals taken.(£40 per child when sharing a suite)
