Join us on New Year’s Eve for a warm welcome from our friendly staff, in time to enjoy a leisurely Afternoon Tea in the lounges. In the evening, the celebrations begin with a Champagne Reception, followed by a 6-course Gala New Year Dinner.

After Dinner, indulge in some light-hearted party games devised to entertain and raise the party spirit, before welcoming in the New Year with Champagne and fireworks.

(N.B.New Year’s Eve Dinner is black tie).

On New Year’s Day, relax after the celebrations with a lie-in and late breakfast. Take time to enjoy a gentle stroll to inspire the senses, a scenic drive amidst the beauty of the Lakeland fells, or simply relax and unwind.

After Dinner, join us for ‘A Night at the Races'. A fun night where you can find out if you can 'pick a winner' and see if Lady Luck is on your side in 2010.

On the afternoon of the last day of the holiday, a visit to Rydal Mount has been arranged for you. The house dates back to the 16 century and there will be a guided tour of the house where the Wordsworth family lived for 46 years.

Rydal Mount is less than 2 miles from Ambleside and a very pleasant stroll so, weather permitting, there is the option to walk there for those that wish to.

The House Party draws to a close with a ‘Farewell Dinner’ followed by more games, competitions and prizes!

Prices are per person for a 2 or 3 night stay and include full English breakfast, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, Champagne Party, entertainment and VAT @ 15%.

A deposit of £100 per person is required to secure the booking.

We do not offer any specific entertainment for children over the New Year period, although they are most welcome. Each child under 16 sharing a room with 2 adults is charged £25 per night Bed and Breakfast, plus meals taken.(£40 per child when sharing a suite)
