BUMPER crowds gathered in a South Lakeland town to witness a dazzling display of historical aircraft and aerobatics.

What a fantastic sight the Vulcan bomber was flying over Windermere at the Airshow this afternoon. Mum and I took advantage of the glorious weather to sit on a bench in Borrans Park for a couple of hours and watch the Mustang, Hurricane, Spitfire and Dakota doing their stuff in the distance around the Bowness area.
