Keswick Show set to draw in crowds

EXHIBITORS are gearing up for a popular traditional agricultural show this Bank Holiday weekend.
Keswick Show, founded in 1860, will take over The Crossings Field, High Hill, Keswick, on Monday with everything from livestock classes to Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling, and from show jumping to home baking.

Difficult sheep make it a real trial at Lake District Sheepdog Trials

THE wondrous sight of sheepdogs at work attracted hundreds of people to a corner of South Lakeland for a traditional day out. The Lake District Sheepdog Trials were bathed in glorious sunshine at Hill Farm, Ings, near Windermere and also featured hound trails, terrier racing and much more.

Thousands enjoy Torver fair

THE crowds shrugged off a poor weather forecast to descend in their thousands on the Lakeland Country Fair at Torver on Sunday. Although the sun stayed away, so too did the rain – leaving dry conditions underfoot for the best part of the day.
