Cumbria’s gardens set to open for charity

THE county’s gardens are set to open their gates to the public for another blossoming year. The National Garden Scheme (NGS) will burst into life with a new garden, Ulverston’s Swarthmoor Hall, which will open from mid-February until April. Charity swimmer makes waves

A KENDAL man plans to make a splash for a cancer charity when he swims 21 miles across the English channel next month.
